Abstract
This work investigates the hybrid active damping for grid-tied LCL inverters. This method uses, besides the capacitor current feedback, the point of common coupling voltage. Mathematical modelling is carried out and the analysis of the impact of the choice of damping gains in the system stability is presented by verifying the poles positions in the unit circle. For choosing the gains for both active damping and current controller, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used, considering robustness for grid inductance variation. Real-time simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
