Abstract

With the growing trend in demand for electricity and the increase in the penetration of intermittent sources in the Brazilian energy matrix, such as solar and wind, there is a need for studies of new technologies capable of contributing to the quality of energy in this new scenario. Thus, it is observed that the use of batteries can bring several advantages such as voltage regulation and loss reduction. However, for this allocation to be made in an advantageous way, characteristics such as lifespan, costs, and the influence of temperature on battery capacity must be considered. To do this, this work proposes a method based on a genetic algorithm.
