Abstract
This paper proposes a dynamic event-triggered scheme for scalar extremum seeking control. Integrating Lyapunov and averaging theories for dis- continuous systems, a systematic design procedure and stability analysis are developed. Ultimately, the resulting closed-loop dynamics proves the advantages of integrating both approaches, dynamic event-triggered and extremum seeking. The Zeno behavior is precluded and the local exponential stability of the closed-loop system are guaranteed. An illustration of the benefits of the new control method is presented using consistent simulation results.
