Abstract
The allocation of wind turbines in a wind farm is a really important task, due to the fact that the positioning of wind turbines affects the power produced by the generator unit and consequently in the power converted into energy. In this sense, the present work proposes to find the best location of wind turbines in a wind farm considering different wind directions using the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO). The study considers the wake effect, different wind directions and their probability density functions. A case study present in the literature is used to evaluate the proposed methodology.
