Abstract

In Particle Physics, the aim is to probe deeper into understanding the structure of matter. For this, collider experiments are essential tools to prove theories experimentally and discover whether there is new physics beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics. In this regard, muons are important signatures for many interesting physics processes. Thus, this work presents an enhanced approach based on Self-Organizing Fuzzy Classifiers applied to the muon classification. Experimental results are included and discussed, showing the effectiveness of Self- Organizing Fuzzy Classifiers in the solution of the problem at hand.
