Abstract

This work presents a unified methodology for DC and AC modeling of converters that use multi-state switching and voltage multipliers cells (MSSC-VMC), based on the pulse-width modulation (PWM) switch modeling. The proposed methodology allows obtaining the converter model through simple inspection of the circuit, simplifying its analysis and modeling. A comprehensive theoretical analysis on the topic is presented and the study is validated through modeling and simulation of the MSSC-VMC boost converter.
