Abstract

This article explores the development of a current controller for single-phase grid-connected inverters based on Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control (FCS-MPC), aiming to evaluate the controller's performance under parametric uncertainties present in the passive inductive filter at the output stage of the inverter. The study scenario for the analyses consists of establishing a power factor compensation strategy employing the inverter with flexible capacity to provide active and reactive power. The analyses were conducted through a collection of computational simulations considering cases composed of different power provision conditions at the common coupling point along with parametric variations in the inductive filter connecting to the grid, adopting the same cost function for all cases.
