Abstract

This work addresses the sizing of a battery intended for a retrofit project of an Off-Highway diesel-electric truck used in mining operations. Initially, the truck’s original system is presented along with the proposal for modification to add a battery pack, aiming to enhance its performance and energy efficiency, as well as to conduct a study on its energy profile. Based on these analyses, a suitable battery pack is developed to meet the operational needs of the vehicle.
