Abstract

This work deals with the development of an electronic device for measuring temperature, with remote and wireless communication, aiming to anticipate the detection of the febrile state in patients susceptible to feverish neutropenia, where the fever detection time is a crucial parameter to avoid possible deaths. A project based on a microcontroller and wireless communication technology that can connect to the Internet is proposed, ensuring remote monitoring by the doctor. Aspects such as modularity, reduced consumption, storage capacity, miniaturization, and calibration, among others, are taken into consideration throughout the project. Experimental results were obtained at the Niterói Hospital Complex (CHN).
