Abstract

This article proposes a teaching approach in robotics that adopts an active learning methodology in response to the growing demand for qualified professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Grounded in systems engineering concepts, educational robotics theories, and active methodologies, this proposal aims to promote digital inclusion for vulnerable citizens. The Brazilian educational context faces challenges related to social inequality, particularly in access to educational opportunities. Therefore, the proposed methodology is applied in the project entitled Robotics League of the Associação Efigênia Vidigal de Educação e Cultura, a social organization. Focusing on students from public schools in Belo Horizonte, the association seeks to mitigate these inequalities by providing access to a robotics course that not only develops technical skills but also promotes essential competencies for the professional of the future. The adopted approach assists instructors by providing pre-prepared activities and lesson plans. Additionally, it offers a clearer view of the students' progress and the overall course, highlighting areas that need improvement. Thus, it is possible to foster a continuous process of course enhancement and student learning.
