Abstract

This work investigates the architecture of a battery energy storage system integrated with a non-inverting buck-boost converter. Dynamic modeling is developed, as well as the design of the controllers, with the aim of overcoming the drawbacks that exist in the model that is widespread on the market. To this end, both the detailed modeling of the converter is developed, in order to obtain the transfer functions, as well as the simplified modeling, used to adjust the controllers. The system was validated using simulations in the PLECS software and on the hardware-in-the-loop platform, where the flexibility and reliability of its operating mode were observed.
