Abstract

Due to the vast biodiversity used in the development of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, the prospecting of bioactives is essential and is most often conducted manually. When this stage is not performed manually, solutions developed by other countries are typically employed. The goal of this project is to create a device attached to a multirotor drone type for collecting foliage samples from the treetops (canopy). This approach avoids manual collection, reduces risks for the individual involved, and offers a low-cost Brazilian solution.
