Abstract

A cost-effective embedded device under development was tested for analog data acquisition with real-time automated signal conditioning for efficient digitization using a single hardware across applications of varying amplitudes and dynamic ranges. The operational principles, two automated alternate amplification methods, and results from applying synthetic input signals with distinct amplitude variation rates are presented, as well as preliminary results of an acoustic signal measurement in the field.
