Abstract

This article presents a methodology for calculating the power flow in direct current microgrids, considering an innovative non-iterative approach, based on Taylor's series and the extraction of the quadratic equation roots. The results achieved with the proposed methodology are validated by simulations and comparative tests with the well-established Newton-Raphson method applied to DC networks. The proposed approach opens doors for microgrid operation and planning investigations, including voltage stability analysis and system reliability assessment. In this way, this research significantly contributes to advancing the understanding and application of innovative approaches to support studies on direct current microgrids.
