Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to present a methodology to carry out the restoration of power distribution networks subject to uncertainties associated with load and photovoltaic distributed generation. These uncertainties were modeled in a probabilistic power flow algorithm, based on the Latin Hypercube, which calculates the risks of violating voltage and loading constraints for a candidate topology for the restoration. The restoration problem was solved using the Tabu Search Algorithm. This heuristic was combined with a Fuzzy framework to consider a multi-objective restoration based on the following criteria: restored active power and risk of violation technical constraints. Test results demonstrated that deterministic restoration results in high risks of constraints violations in the optimal solution. On the other hand, the proposed multi-objective approach achieved an acceptable compromise between the risks of constraints violation and restored active power.
