Abstract

This work presents the development of a prototype ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), a remotely operated underwater vehicle, for scientific study and research in the field of underwater robotics. Low-cost and readily available components were used in the elaboration of this project, facilitating its future replication. The physical structure of the vehicle was developed using PVC pipes, reinforcing the idea of using accessible materials, which becomes a distinguishing feature compared to similar works. Open-loop control algorithms were employed for propeller control, enabling coordinated movement of the vehicle in submerged environments.
