Abstract

This work presents the development of a prototype of a boost DC-DC converter with a superconducting tape inductor, aiming to compare the performance of the converter at different switching frequencies by varying the type of inductor core. The first type of core used was a ferromagnetic ferrite core and the second type was an air core, this being just the removal of the ferrite core from the first type. Eight tests were carried out with four different frequencies, with and without the ferromagnetic core in the inductor, aiming to evaluate the Boost converter in terms of voltage gain.
