Abstract

This paper explores the application of the Unscented Transformation method in the probabilistic assessment of small-signal angular stability in Electric Power Systems. The method is applied to an infinite bus-single machine system model, taking into account uncertainties in both generation and voltage magnitude. The efficacy of the Unscented Transformation is evaluated in comparison with Monte Carlo Simulation, highlighting a significant reduction in computational effort (approximately 99%) and high accuracy, with errors below 1%.
