Abstract

This paper proposes a Robust Model Predictive Control (RMPC) method for three-phase inverters connected to the grid through inductive filters with uncertain parameters. The filter inductance and intrinsic resistance are considered as unknown variables, rendering the system uncertain. The RMPC employs Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) optimization to determine the optimal modulation index, resulting in fixed switching frequency and simplifying filter implementation. The importance of considering the uncertainty of the filter inductance is highlighted, as it affects the system dynamics and can lead to instability if unknown. Simulation results in Simulink demonstrate the ability of the proposed control law to stabilize the uncertain system.
