Abstract

This work aims to describe the process of creating a lighting automation system, device activation and temperature and humidity verification, for a laboratory, using the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. The proposal aims to enable remote access to control everyday activities, such as turning on and off lamps and electronic devices frequently used by laboratory members. For this, the ESP32 microcontroller board was used, an MQTT broker hosted in the cloud and an interface developed in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. During the development of the system, the effectiveness of the adopted protocol was observed, evidenced by the quick and efficient response to commands sent by users. This approach not only simplifies daily operations, but also allows for more flexible and convenient control of activities in the laboratory, significantly contributing to process optimization and resource management.
