Abstract

This paper presents a generic and particular topology of the ZETA wide voltage gain (WVG) DC-DC converter based on Three-State Switching Cell (TSSC), which can be used in microgrid applications with renewable energies. To achieve the wide high voltage in the ZETA converter with TSSC, isolated secondary windings have been added to the transformer and its terminals connected to voltage doubler Rectifiers and they capacitors connected in series. The addition of cascaded Rectifiers reduces the voltage across the switches, allowing the use of low-resistance MOSFETs (RDSon ), thus improving the efficiency of the converter. To check the principle of operation, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, design procedure and simulation results for the output power specifications of Po= 1kW, input voltage of Vi= 48V and output voltage of Vo= 400Vare presented.
