Abstract

As technology evolves, the use of electro-electronic devices is increasing in homes. The use of these devices depends on the activity profile that each occupant performs. This article presents a model of electricity use, considering some electro-electronic devices typical of homes. The model combines the occupation pattern (considers when people are at home and awake) and the activity profile that establishes how people spend time doing certain activities. Demand data with one minute resolution are created from the simulation and incorporated into the residential current curve by means of phasor sum of the fundamental and harmonic currents of each device. In order to validate the model, data were collected from 21 residences located in the city of Jo~ao Monlevade - MG. The curves of the fundamental and harmonic currents of third and fifth order between the measured data and the simulator were compared, being possible to visualize that they have similar characteristics. Other electro-electronic devices can be incorporated into the model, as long as there are valid statistical data.
