Abstract

A comparative analysis of the calculation of the power flow of a real electrical energy distribution system modeled in ANAREDE and OpenDSS with the presence of a photovoltaic power plant is carried out. Data from Energisa Para´ıba’s western regional system were used. It was found that the modeling of a distribution system in ANAREDE presented results similar to those obtained in OpenDSS, due to the reduced loads and dimensions of the system. However, the good results were restricted to the calculation of power losses, given that only OpenDSS presents the calculation of energy losses. Finally, the efficiency of the installation of the Malta Power Plant was evaluated, corroborating the fact that distributed generation, depending on the installed power, can collaborate with the reduction of power and energy losses.
