Abstract

A system to monitor behavior and engagement in museums using wireless sensors which release data to the cloud is presented. This project developed a new architecture of a web system able to offer managers who take care of a big amount of people walking indoors, especially museums and cultural centers, relevant information regarding their visitors in real-time. The system allows, also, to the consolidation of the collects on historical pages and dashboards very useful for take decisions about the spatial organization of these places. The first prototype was built for this monitor system, configuring an IoT solution, already tested on bench tests and validated, successfully, in an area with a significant movement of persons in an educational building.
