Desenvolvimento de sistema de smart metering do Grupo B utilizando comunicação pelo protocolo LoRaWAN

Abstract

This article addresses the development of a smart metering system for Group B, utilizing communication through the LoRaWAN protocol. Concepts related to Advanced Metering Infrastructure, smart meters, and the employed communication protocols are presented. The work involved the development of a prototype capable of communicating with smart meters, transmitting information over a LoRa network. Additionally, the developed system provides functionality for remote power cut off and reconnect, particularly in cases of non-payment or network maintenance. An analysis of LoRa network coverage was also conducted in the cities where the application was developed, involving approximately 170 devices. The obtained results contribute to the field of smart metering, highlighting the feasibility of employing the LoRaWAN protocol for efficient communication with smart meters.
