Abstract

This scientific research article presents the development of a communication and control interface for residential electric vehicle charging, aiming at fair coordination of connection and disconnection to minimize voltage problems in the electrical grid. The proposed methodology involves a combination of connected technologies. Initially, an Android application is used to send user charging preferences and receive real-time data. This action utilizes the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) broker as the interface for communication with the ESP32, which is responsible for executing the necessary charging and disconnection actions at the residential charging point. The proposed methodology is evaluated through 12 distinct tests, yielding significant results.
