Abstract
In this study, a capacitive sensor was implemented to determine the composition of anhydrous ethanol fuel through the assessment of electrical parameters. This sensor is composed of two coplanar electrodes, parallel with periodic repetition. The results showed that increasing the alcohol content in the AEAC/H2O mixture results in a higher capacity to store electrical charge, evidenced by the increase in capacitance. Additionally, the concentration of ethanol in the mixture affects the electrical impedance, with larger amounts of water leading to an increase in the real impedance of the system, possibly due to variations in the movement of electrons between the solid and liquid phases.
