Abstract

This work presents a virtual equivalent model of a Flexible Manufacturing System - FMS, through a dynamic 3D simulator together with a Programmable Logic Controller - PLC programming software. An approach that emerges as a support tool in the teaching of industrial automation, allowing students to carry out tests on the various elements present in the industry, as well as in the programming of the PLC, configuration of the communication technology and application of theories associated with industrial automation studied in the classroom, such as the Supervisory Control Theory - SCT. To validate the model, the Local Modular SCT is used to synthesize the supervisors that control the plant, implemented through a three-level architecture, described by the language Ladder Diagram (LD) in a virtual PLC. As a result, a video with a simulation of the virtual model is presented.
