Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of an implicit alternating method for the solution of the transient stability problem for a large electrical transmission system. For that, the generating units are implemented by Functional Mock-up Units (FMU) and the transmission system is computed in Python. In this way, the electrical power system is split into smaller subsystems, while preserving the accuracy of a monolithic simulation.
