Abstract
In this work, an artificial intelligence based on evolutionary heuristics is used, capable of designing a TL section for a given topographic profile, considering the type of cable, bundle, the tension, the position and height of the towers. Safety distance restrictions and recommended maximum loads for the cable in the longest working condition are analyzed, according to NBR 5422. The costs were obtained using the ANEEL reference price base, considering the total number of conductor cables, shock absorbers and/or or spacers, insulators, foundations and steel structures, which vary with the height determined for each tower and the weight of the cables. Energy losses are valued over a period of 30 years according to the CME. The algorithm is capable of evaluating more than 15,000 configurations in a few seconds for a 5 km stretch. As a case study, a section of a real TL was examined. Results were obtained for two scenarios, achieving a reduction of up to 8,36% in the cost of the project.
