Abstract

Industry 4.0 is driving profound changes in the industry through solutions that enhance production and raise product quality. Technologies like IoT, CPS, Big Data, and Cloud Computing are reshaping business operations by integrating systems, creating smart factories, and enhancing efficiency. An example is the educational system CP Lab by Festo, utilized as an application and case study for testing communication using the OPC UA protocol to connect cyber-physical modules and devices to the cloud, enabling real-time data analysis to identify current status, potential issues, and make more effective decisions. Such integration highlights digitization and the benefits of OPC UA communication in the Industry 4.0 context.
