Abstract

This article presents an emergency circuit for automatic reconstitution of electrical power through switching operations performed by an electro-electronic and mechanical device (switch). This device can change the source of electrical power, which can be from the power utility or an alternative source. The alternative electrical power source is stored in stationary batteries, which in turn are being recharged by photovoltaic panels to remain in float and ready to be used in case of power outage. The emergency electrical circuit also features a charge controller, responsible for controlling the electrical power generated by the photovoltaic panel and supplying the battery. Additionally, there is an inverter capable of converting the direct current (DC) with a nominal voltage of 12 Volts (V) into alternating current (AC) with an electrical voltage of 220 V.
