Abstract
This article performs correlation analyzes between the aging of an ONAF-type transformer in a wind power plant in northeastern Brazil and the concentration of gases in the oil tank. The main objective is to verify if the accumulation of gases can be directly related to ageing, thus allowing a simpler identification of the state of the transformer for better planning of operation and maintenance. Such checks are carried out using international standards with equivalence in the country. The results show that the gases CO and H2 have a positive correlation with aging, while the gases C2H4, C2H2 and H2O present, initially a positive correlation, but later their concentration is reduced, being, therefore, a tool complement in the analysis of the aging of transformers.
