Abstract

The present work consists in performing an economic feasibility analysis using the economic indicators Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV) and Payback for Low Voltage (LV) consumers that have a photovoltaic system with storage in a battery bank connected to the distribution network. The consumer unit (CU) is charged by means of the White Tariff, which has three tariff stations, called peak, off-peak, and intermediate. The photovoltaic system has two functions, the first is to recharge the battery bank to be used later in peak and intermediate hours, and the second is to supply the energy demand of the UC between the hours of 12 noon and 4:59 pm. The scaling and calculation of the economic indicators are performed by programming code via GNU Octave Software. The results obtained show that the proposed system is economically feasible for consumers belonging to the largest typical load curves.
