Abstract

The electricity market has two contracting environments: the regulated contracting environment (ACR) and the free contracting environment (ACL). In the ACR the price of energy is established in auctions for the distributors and in the ACL the prices are freely negotiated between consumer and generator. One of the alternatives for reducing costs in a sustainable way is to migrate to the ACL, because the company can choose which source it wants to buy energy from. In addition, the electrification of the vehicle fleet is one of the realities that comes to contribute to cost reduction during operation and is seen as an alternative to impact the reduction of pollutant emissions in order to build a more sustainable environment. Thus, the objective of the study is to conduct an analysis of the feasibility of migration to the free contracting environment and the impact that this migration would cause economically on the supply of the vehicle fleet. The study showed that the migration from ACR to ACL presents significant savings for the consumer, since he/she has a fixed value of the energy tariff and does not perceive the impacts related to the tariff flags. Finally, the insertion of the electric vehicle fleet presented favorable results for the consumer and for the environment by contributing to the reduction of environmental impacts.
