Abstract

This paper revisits voltage recovery, sudden short-circuit, and load-rejection tests aiming at d-axis modelling of synchronous machines. Discussions are developed based on the calculus of equivalent circuit parameters from tests; in this discus-sions, the article also include methods to obtain the Canay reactance. Simulations and tests application in field and in laboratory are also presented.
