The correlation between excitation signals in multivariable systems affects the achievement of significant data in the system identification experiments. In the work, a study is made of the cross correlation and the multiple correlation between generalized binary noise signals, generated from the characteristics of two industrial benchmarks, a heavy oil fractionator and a fluid catalytic cracker. The probability of non-switching, as well as the minimum switching time are the modified parameters, allowing to obtain a relationship between them and the cross correlation of the projected signals.Published
