Abstract

Energy consumption management is a critical area in which IOT has much to offer. This work presents a low cost power and energy meter based on IOT with fast and bidirectional communications capabilities. It uses an external ADC capable of sampling several channels with high velocity. The system is equipped with relay modules to shut downs the power, and visual and sound alert system. This allows power supply problem detection and preventive action both in industrial and residential networks. Experimental results validate the proposed system
