ERD/ERS, motor imagery, dual estimation, Kalman filter, recursive least squares
Abstract
This paper investigates the estimate of the desynchronization/synchronization (ERD/ERS) of the motor imagery of the left hand using the dual estimation of states and parameters. Our methodology includes three steps: the modeling step, the state estimation step and the parameter estimation step. The results suggest that the dual estimation of state and parameters is a promising method to estimate the ERD/ERS related to the imagination of movement, making it a useful tool for the application in brain-machine interface.
