Abstract

This work deals with the static planning expansion of electric power transmission systems considering uncertainties associated with wind generation. The goal is to determine the required reinforcements that meet the power balance constraints and minimize the implementation costs. Three algorithms are employed to solve the problem: Differential Evolution, Particle Swarm Optimization, and Coyote Optimization. After that, the best algorithm is chosen to solve the Garver, IEEE-24 bus, and Equivalent Brazilian Southern test systems considering wind.
