Abstract
The geometric primitive fitting is extremely important in tasks like 3D data simplification and automatic As Built. In this context, only few works address this problem in large structures data, where the point clouds are larger and more complex. Thus, the present work brings a methodology to deal with the problem, as well as a complete discussion about the state of the art in large structures data processing and in geometric primitive fitting.
